There are many ways to visit Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton, but my favorite, and thus the one with which I crafted this itinerary, is by combining it with ranch life. You'll fully immerse yourself in the wild and primal nature of these two parks, so close yet so different that you can't exclude one from the other.

Day 1: Bozeman

We're in Montana, just a few kilometers from Yellowstone National Park. This is your first stop, where you'll have an incredible introduction to this region in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Bozeman is nicknamed "the most livable place in the world," so visiting it is the only way to find out if it's true. Don't miss a visit to the Museum of the Rockies, featuring temporary and permanent installations, from modern art to prehistory!

Accommodation: Rsvp Hotel or similar

Day 2 - 5: Yellowstone National Park

Founded in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is certainly one of the most important national parks in the world. It covers an area roughly the size of Umbria above the eponymous caldera. Being the largest dormant supervolcano on the planet, the variety of landscapes and natural phenomena is immense. Canyons, geysers, coniferous forests, vast prairies... This park truly has a lot to offer in terms of nature. In addition to the flora, there is an incredible and varied fauna within the park where the bison reigns supreme, but you can also see wolves, wild horses, deer, eagles, and much more.

Accommodation: Parade Rest Ranch

Day 6 - 8: Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton is very different from Yellowstone in terms of landscapes, but no less fascinating and important. Characterized by large mountains plunging into the plains, it is the ideal place for those who want to discover rugged and wild nature in all seasons. Inhabited land for thousands of years, as evidenced by historical artifacts, and territory of the Shoshone tribe. The name Grand Teton was given by French-Canadian explorers and literally means big breast, but this and the settlers' imagination are obviously another story.

Accommodation: Triangle C Ranch

Day 9: Grand Teton National Park - Jackson Hole

This journey into the wild nature of two magnificent American parks ends here. Reach Jackson Hole airport to return home or continue this adventure.
